Bushra Bibi, wife of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, has been granted bail until May 23 in the Al-Qadir Trust case by the Lahore High Court. She was accompanied by Khan to the hearing. The former PM is also currently seeking bail in cases registered against him for allegedly torching tyres. The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) staged a protest against the judiciary, accusing them of providing Prime Minister Imran Khan with "blanket relief" in several cases. The ruling alliance of 13 political parties demonstrated against the Supreme Court for allegedly favoring Khan. The protest attracted many workers and supporters who chanted slogans against the government and called for the end of the Khan administration. The PDM has been vocal in its opposition to Khan's government, demanding his resignation over alleged electoral fraud and failed economic policies.
