India blocked 14 apps that terrorists  used to send information around in J-K


The central government has blocked 14 messenger mobile applications used by Pakistani terrorists as communication platforms to transmit information to Jammu and Kashmir. The apps include Crypviser, Enigma, Safeswiss, Wickrme, Mediafire, Briar, BChat, Nandbox, and Co. This action is part of the government's efforts to curb terrorist activities in the region. The move follows reports that terrorists used these apps to coordinate attacks and transmit sensitive information, jeopardizing national security. The Indian government has blocked several mobile applications under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, 2000, after receiving inputs that they were being used to spread terror propaganda and incite youths in Jammu and Kashmir.
