Imran Khan got arrested outside the court and whisked away by Paramilitary Personnel

Imran Khan, former Pakistani Prime Minister and current opposition leader, was arrested today as he arrived at the Islamabad High Court for a hearing in a corruption case. He was reportedly taken into custody by paramilitary forces on the court premises, prompting allegations from his party leaders that the police had entered the court. Khan was previously imprisoned in 2014 after leading mass protests against the government, but was released after a few days. PTI chairman Imran Khan has been arrested in connection to the Qadir Trust case, which involves allegations that Bahria Town gave land worth ₹530m to the Trust, owned by Khan and his wife. Islamabad Police tweeted in Urdu that the situation is "normal".
