West Indies secured their first back-to-back T20I wins over India in a bilateral series, for two reasons: their bowling and Nicholas Pooran's in-form batting. Pooran continued his excellent run of form from Major League Cricket, where he hit a quickfire century in the final. West Indies' Nicholas Pooran has been fined 25% of his match fee and given a one-game ban for dissent towards an on-field umpire during the third one-day international against India. The incident took place after India captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to bat.
