Congress's Shivakumar claiming ahead of results

Voting for the Karnataka assembly polls for 2023 concluded on Wednesday evening. Some exit polls predict that there could be a hung assembly, while others suggest that the Congress has a slight advantage. HD Kumaraswamy's Janata Dal (Secular) is expected to play a crucial role in determining the outcome. The results of the three-cornered contest between BJP, Congress and JD(S), which took place on 12th May, will be announced on Saturday, 13th May. All eyes are glued to the Karnataka assembly elections, as it is the only major southern state where BJP is actively competing against Congress. The exit polls, however, have been inconsistent this time, with some predicting a clear win for BJP, while others suggest that it may fall short of the majority needed to form the government.
