World Bank Presidential Nominee Ajay Banga tested positive for Covid

 

The World Bank presidential nominee Ajay Banga has tested positive for COVID-19 while on a world tour. Banga is currently quarantined in isolation in Delhi. The Treasury Department has stated that he tested positive during routine testing and is following medical advice. Banga has been nominated for the presidency of the World Bank. India has recorded 1,134 new coronavirus cases and 7,026 active cases in the last two weeks amid a spike in influenza and coronavirus cases across the country. The Union Health Ministry has reported increased new and active cases, prompting the authorities to control the spread.
