The Women’s Indian Premier League (WIPL) has agreed to a five-year broadcast rights deal with Indian media network Viacom18, worth an estimated £95 million. The agreement will see Viacom18 broadcast live and deferred coverage of the WIPL on its network of TV and digital channels for the next five years. The deal marks a significant milestone for the WIPL, which was only launched in 2018 to create a professional league for Women cricketers in India and raise the Sport's profile.
