The counting of votes in panchayat elections is going on. After the dates for polls were announced on June 8 numerous incidents of violence have taken place. The turnout of voting is 69.85% till 5 pm in 19istricts of West Bengal. On Saturday polling took place in 61,000 booths and the turnout was 80.71%.
