On Tuesday, CNN Turk reported that six people had died in a magnitude 6.4 earthquake near the Turkish-Syrian border. The temblor, which had a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles), was registered by the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC). Additionally, it was felt in Syria, Egypt, and Lebanon. The Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca stated that 294 people were injured, 18 of them critically, and were taken to hospitals in Adana and Dortyol.
