When the Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra passed through Assam, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers tore down its posters and banners and vandalized vehicles in Lakhimpur. A video in a town at night revealed this. The people started chanting Jai Shri Ram while a man wielding a stick was seen tearing posters attached to pillars. The Assam Police, however, has junked the claims of attack on the Congress yatra.
