Tesla India's first employee resigns as the business postpones its entrance plan, according to a report.

Manuj Khurana joined the company in March 2021 and was instrumental in developing a domestic market entrance strategy for the American automaker in India. For more than a year, he fought the Indian Government to reduce the import tariff on electric automobiles from as high as 100% to 40%. The administration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi requested that Tesla first commits to producing vehicles in India.
