The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition filed by three women wrestlers who have represented India in international events after Delhi Police registered FIRs against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan. The court took cognizance of the fact that the case was being investigated by the police and closed the petition. The wrestlers had accused Sharan of mental harassment and pressured them to resign. Sharan has been removed from his post as president of the WFI by the Sports Ministry and the National Sports Federations (NSFs).
