Beginning in the dark hours of Sunday morning, President Joe Biden made a secret trip to Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, which had been a battleground of war. At 4:00 am (0900 GMT), the 80-year-old Democrat boarded an Air Force Boeing 757, otherwise known as a C-32. This plane, smaller than the one presidents typically take on international trips, was stationed away from the usual boarding area.
