Shahid Kapoor has admitted to not liking his performance in 'Padmaavat', where he played the role of Maharawal Ratan Singh. Kapoor said that he felt "uptight" in the film and would like to revisit the role and perform it differently if given the chance. Padmaavat is a 2018 film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, which tells the story of a Rajput queen who sacrifices her life instead of submitting to a tyrant's demands. Deepika Padukone plays the titular role, alongside Shahid Kapoor as her husband, Ratan Singh, and Ranveer Singh as the tyrant Khilji. The film celebrates valour and honour, highlighting the bravery and courage of its characters.
