Shabana Azmi claimed that Satish Kaushik wanted to commit suicide

Actor-director Satish Kaushik's 67th birth anniversary was celebrated with a special musical event organised by Anupam Kher, where several of Kaushik's friends including Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, and Anil Kapoor paid tribute to him. The event was held to celebrate Kaushik's life and contribution to Indian cinema. Shabana Azmi shared humorous memories during a celebration in memory of Kaushik, despite being emotional. She noted that Kaushik would have wanted to be remembered this way. Azmi recounted a funny incident where Kaushik left a nursing home with his X-rays in hand. Shyam Benegal, who had heard about the incident from others, found it hilarious.
