Tennis superstar Sania Mirza and her partner Rohan Bopanna made History on Saturday, January 28th, when they became the First Indian pair to reach the Australian Open Mixed Doubles Final. The 36-year-old and 42-year-old duo defeated top-seeded American pair Beatrice Gumulya and Rajeev Ram in an enthralling three-setter that lasted over two hours. The Indian pair won 6-2, 6-4 to reach the final. Mirza and Bopanna, who had already won the 2020 Dubai Duty-Free Championships and the 2020 French Open Mixed Doubles titles, have now become the First Indian pair to reach the Australian Open Mixed Doubles final.
