On Tuesday, Sania Mirza's illustrious career in tennis came to a close with a first-round defeat at the WTA Dubai Duty-Free Championships. Sania, considered one of India's greatest players, was in a pairing with American Madison Keys in Dubai. Still, the formidable Russian team of Veronika Kudermetova and Liudmila Samsonova proved too much for them, winning 4-6, 0-6 in just one hour. Just a month ago, Sania finished as a runner-up in the Australian Open with her compatriot Rohan Bopanna.
