After the G20 meeting of finance ministers concluded without producing a joint communique due to differences between G7, Russia, and China, Moscow "commended" India for its constructive role in the discussions. The Russian foreign ministry released a statement saying India's presidency sought a fair examination of the interests and positions of all countries. They added that due to the "substantial conversation" on critical financial matters, a wide range of measures was agreed upon to stimulate the world economy and financial markets.
