Chipmaker Qualcomm Inc. has recently claimed it’s partnering with Iridium Communications Inc. to bring in Satellite-based messaging for high-end Android smartphones. It will allow them to communicate without having WiFi-based Internet connectivity. The companies have also informed us that the new Technology has several potential use Cases, including enabling SOS services, SMS texts, and other low-bandwidth messaging applications.
