Power got disrupted with heavy rains lashing in India and Pakistan

A severe cyclone has caused damage to properties and infrastructure, leaving thousands without power as it hit the Indian and Pakistani coasts. Houses, trees and electric poles uprooted and two people were confirmed dead in western India. The cyclone dubbed Cyclone Vayu stopped short of making landfall in India’s Gujarat state, though 3 lakh people were evacuated. Meanwhile, in Pakistan, the cyclone’s outer reaches caused heavy downpours and windstorms in the southern province of Sindh.
