Ali Zafar disapproved of Javed Akhtar's comment about the 26/11 terror attacks that occurred this week at an event in Lahore. The renowned Pakistani singer, who acted in Bollywood films such as Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Dear Zindagi, labeled the statement 'insensitive' and 'unwarranted' on his Instagram account. He further stated that while he did perform for Javed sahab during his stay in the country, it was not on the same day as the terror attack.
