Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held a simple wedding ceremony for her daughter at home in Bengaluru, shunning the trend of big fat destination weddings. The event was attended by family and friends, with no political heavyweights present. Parakala Vangamayi, daughter of Ms Sitharaman, got married to Prateek in a traditional Brahmin ceremony. The wedding was blessed by seers of Udupi Adamaru Mutt, as per the customs. The wedding was held in the traditional Vedic order of Adamaru Mutt. The bride looked stunning in a pink saree and green blouse, while the groom opted for a white pancha and shawl.
