Police have detained a 56-year-old man, Manoj Sahani, for allegedly murdering his live-in partner, Saraswati Vaidya, and dismembering her body in a rental flat in Akashganga building, Mira Road area. The suspect was arrested on Wednesday evening. Authorities have said that investigations are ongoing, and they have yet to establish a motive for the murder. Residents of a building in Mumbai filed a complaint about a foul smell coming from a couple's apartment, leading to the discovery of a woman's body. A preliminary investigation revealed that she had been brutally murdered. The incident was reported to the Nayanagar police station, and further investigation is ongoing.
