Mumbai is experiencing heavy rainfall resulting in waterlogging across the city. The IMD has issued an orange alert for the next two days forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall. Waterlogging during Mumbai's monsoon season is a long-standing issue, but it also affects the city's expensive real estate market. The BMC has identified approximately 100 waterlogging spots in south and central Mumbai, as well as the suburbs. Nana Chowk, located in south Mumbai near Tardeo and Grant Road, experiences waterlogging during heavy rainfall lasting over an hour. The area has a high property price, with apartments costing between Rs 40,000 to Rs 60,000 per square foot, according to local real estate agents.
