Missing Titanic submarine has been found in pieces from a catastrophic implosion

The deep-sea submersible tasked with exploring the Titanic wreck site has been located in several pieces at the bottom of the Atlantic ocean, leading experts to conclude that everyone aboard the vessel had died. The search for the vessel had been ongoing for five days and involved multiple countries, with the final discovery being made by the US Coast Guard. The cause of the incident is currently unknown, and investigations are ongoing. A robotic diving vehicle, deployed from a Canadian ship, has discovered a debris field from submersible Titan near the bow of the Titanic. The site is situated 2 1/2 miles (4 km) beneath the surface of a remote corner of the North Atlantic, at a depth of around 1,600 feet (488 meters).
