The Union Cabinet of India has recently Approved an incentive scheme for promoting RuPay debit cards and its low-value BHIM-UPI transactions for about one year starting in April 2022. The Approved plan has also got a financial outlay of Rs 2,600 crores. It also aims to promote the use of Point-of-SALE (PoS) and e-commerce transactions to use RuPay debit cards and low-value BHIM-UPI transactions that would be Person-to-merchant during this current financial year.
