Kiren Rijiju quoted on Monday that the judges do not have to undergo Elections and are not always under the scrutiny of people. But still, people are always watching n assessing them from their way of delivering justice. These comments from Rijiju come amid the ongoing debate of the system of the Supreme Court to appoint judges.
“There is no public scrutiny of judges…as people don’t elect you, they cannot replace you. But people are watching you — your judgements, the way you deliver verdicts — people are watching and making assessments and forming opinions," he said.
