On day one of the Second test between India and Australia, Ravichandran Ashwin achieved two significant milestones. He became only the Second Indian Bowler to Take 100 wickets in Tests against Australia after dismissing Alex Carey for a duck. Anil Kumble is the only other Indian to have achieved this feat, with 111 wickets against the Aussies. Ashwin also registered 700 First-class wickets after taking the wicket of Marnus Labuschagne for 18. At Tea, Australia were 199-6 in their attempt to make a comeback in the four-match Series.
