India to Add $5 Billion Aircraft Carrier to Fleet to Counter China

India adds another aircraft worth RS 400 billion to its collection as it is preparing to counter China's naval presence in the Indian Ocean Region.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is expected to clear the second indigenous carrier on Friday. The new page has held at least 28 fighter jets and displaces 45000 tons of water.
It will be equipped with French Rafale jets. India's first homemade carrier, INS Vikranth, joined the fleet last year.
