India abstained from a United Nations General Assembly vote on "lasting peace" in Ukraine. The resolution, which passed with 63 votes in favor and 26 abstentions, calls for the protection of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and condemns Russian aggression in the region. India has traditionally maintained a non-aligned foreign policy and has previously abstained from votes on Ukrainian issues.
