IMF asks for extra time to seal the deal of $1.1 billion for Pakistan

IMF sought extra time to negotiate with Pakistan over a deal that will give the country $1.1 billion. This was informed by the secretary of Finance on Thursday. Pakistan is already running out of finances due to the havoc created by the floods last year. 

"The staff level agreement between Pakistan and IMF will be reached Soon," Sheikh, a senior official at the Ministry of Finance, said in a Statement to Reuters. "The IMF mission asked for more time for staff-level negotiations."
