ICC issued an apology and explained the reason for a ranking glitch

The ICC has apologized for the mistake made in the men's test team rankings which saw India mistakenly Take the top spot over Australia on Wednesday. After India's victory in Nagpur, the ICC released an updated list showing India is back at No.2. The governing body of the Sport has admitted the mistake and has expressed regret for the technical error that led to the false ranking of India as the No.1 test team.
