FIR to be registered today over complaints of wrestlers against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh


The Delhi Police has informed the Supreme Court that it will file an FIR (First Information Report) today following complaints from female wrestlers about alleged sexual harassment by Wrestling Federation of India President, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Seven women wrestlers have filed a petition seeking the registration of a FIR against Brij Bhushan, a BJP MP, for alleged sexual harassment. The notice has been issued to the Delhi Police. Bhushan is also the chairman of the Wrestling Federation of India. Seven female wrestlers have filed police complaints accusing an MP of sexual harassment and criminal intimidation over 10 years. The allegations against the MP were deemed "serious" by Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud, who issued a notice.
