Maoist leader Jagdish and his team were responsible for the Wednesday IED blast in Dantewada district, which resulted in the death of 10 policemen and a driver, according to police and intelligence officials. The preliminary investigation suggests that the explosives were planted by the Maoist group, with Jagdish as the mastermind. The Darbha divisional committee of the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist) has taken responsibility for an attack on a minivan that was part of a four-vehicle convoy carrying personnel of district reserve guard (DRG), a special anti-Maoist unit of the state police. The attack took place on Wednesday.
