The US Geological Survey informed that an earthquake of magnitude 6.8 was experienced in eastern Tajikistan. It was felt at around 5:37 am as per the local time. As per USGS "little or no population" will face landslides as a result of the earthquake. The epicenter of the earthquake was the Gorno-Badakhshan region.
