The transport department in Delhi issued a warning to Bike taxis against plying on road. It further said that this would be a violation of the Motor vehicles Act 1988. A Person failing to do so would be liable to pay a large amount of fine. In the case of the First offense the fine could be Rs5000, the Second offense Rs10,000, and jailed for up to a year.
