Conjunctivitis cases got spiked in Delhi-NCR, 100 new cases in AIIMS regularly

Heavy rainfall in Delhi has led to multiple cases of conjunctivitis being reported in the National Capital Region. According to Dr JS Titiyal, chief of RP Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences at AIIMS, the national capital is reporting 100 such cases per day. The infection is thought to be spread by contaminated rainwater, with symptoms including redness, irritation, and discharge from the eyes. Doctors have advised people to take precautions such as washing their hands regularly and avoiding rubbing their eyes to prevent the spread of the infection.
