Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has called PM Narendra Modi a “small small man overburdened by his insecurities” following the renaming of the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library Society to “Prime Ministers Museum and Library Society”. The decision was criticised by several opposition leaders, who stated that the move was politically motivated and an attempt to erase the legacy of India’s first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. The NMML society was established in 1964 and works towards preserving and promoting the legacy of Indian independence leaders.
