Starting from August 1st, the Army will enforce a new policy requiring brigadiers and higher-ranking officers to wear a common uniform regardless of their parent cadre or appointment. This decision was made to streamline and standardize the military dress code. The Indian Army has decided to ban 89 apps, including popular platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and WeChat citing potential cybersecurity risks and possible breaches of privacy practices. The decision was made following a recent commanders conference and widespread consultations with stakeholders. The move comes amid simmering border tensions with China.
