Centre to talk to State, LSGs an RWA to bring into effect new rules by AWBI

Looking at the increasing number of attacks by stray dogs, the Centre has decided to talk to LSGs, RWAs, and States so as to bring into effect the new rules made by the Ministry of Animal Husbandry. The Secretary of AWBI said that the changes in rules were made to “adopt humane procedures for controlling stray animal population through open methods of surgeries and operations”.
