Several states in India will observe bank holidays for Eid-Al-Adha or Bakr Eid on June 28. The cities that will have no banking operations on this day include Belapur, Jammu, Kochi, Mumbai, Nagpur, Srinagar, and Thiruvananthapuram. In some states, there will also be no banking operations on June 29. Several cities in India will observe a bank holiday on June 29 for the Muslim festival of Eid-Al-Adha or Bakr Eid. The festival of Eid-Al-Adha is celebrated by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to Allah.
