The cold front from Patagonia brought the temperature in Buenos Aires down from 38.1C (100.6F) on Sunday to a record low of 7.9C (46.2F) on Thursday, as reported by the National Meteorological Service. This was the coldest temperature recorded in February since 1951, beating the previous record of 4.2C set in 1910.
