Over 200 passengers stranded in Magadan, Russia for two days due to an engine glitch were finally able to leave on an Air India flight to San Francisco on June 8. The original aircraft was diverted to Magadan before the passengers boarded the replacement plane. They were grateful to finally arrive at their destination after facing delays and discomfort. Air India sent a ferry flight to Magadan, Russia on June 7 to fly 216 stranded passengers and 16 crew members to San Francisco. The ferry flight from San Francisco to Magadan landed at 06.14 a.m. (local time) after getting airborne at 1027 hours (local time) on June 8.
