Abolfazl and his mother said their goodbyes at the corner, and Aqila watched as he entered the main doors of Newtonbrook Secondary. With students from grades eight to twelve, it coved an entire city block and was full of life as more than 2,000 students filled the hallways. Aqila watched until Abolfazl disappeared, and she was alone, filled with emotions. They wrap their scarves tightly around their faces and walk along the frigid streets.
