SEBI's request for a six-month extension to complete the Adani Group stock price manipulation probe has been adjourned to July 10th by the Supreme Court. The request was made following allegations by Hindenburg Research, a US-based short seller firm. SEBI has filed a rejoinder affidavit in the Supreme Court explaining why it needs more time to investigate the Adani-Hindenburg issue. The securities board stated that the transactions are complex and require more time to examine. Additionally, SEBI denied the allegations made by Hindenburg Research, which claimed that Adani Enterprises inflated its net worth in regulatory filings.
