Supreme Court has denied entertaining the PIL that asks the Centre as well as states to Increase the number of judges to double in subordinate judiciary and high courts. This way the pending Cases can be tackled in an effective manner. "Adding more judges is not the answer," CHIEF JUSTICE D Y Chandrachud and Justice P S Narasimha orally observed.
