The entire capacity of India's GSAT-24 satellite was leased to Tata Play

The Satellite, built by the Indian Space Research Organization for NSIL, was safely launched into geostationary orbit on Thursday by the Ariane 5 rocket, managed by the French company Arianespace, from Kourou in French Guiana (South America). As part of the Government's "Space reforms" announced in June 2020, NSIL was mandated to execute operational Satellite missions on a "demand-driven" paradigm. The whole Satellite capacity on board GSAT-24 will be leased to a single customer, Tata Play, the Tata Group's DTH company.
