The Satellite images of Joshimath were released by ISRO which showed that the town is slowly sinking due to land subsidence. It further Revealed that in the last 12 days, 5.4cm subsidence happened. This is the time period between December 27 and January 8. On the other hand it had recorded subsidence of 9cm in the last 7 months.
