On 29th June, Bihar witnessed one of the most striking heavy rains. Accompanied by thunderstorm and fleet footed lighting, the rain was also responsible for taking the lives of 5 netizens. Chief minister Nitish Kumar has announced an ex gratia of ₹4 lakh for the family of the deceased as a part of his expression of grief. According to reports, 37 mm of rainfall was recorded between 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
