Lt. general Syed Asim Munir has been appointed as the new chief of the Army of Pakistan. This is the topmost and most powerful Post. He will take over the present general on November 29. The present general Bajwa is all set to retire after completing six-year tenure.
“It is based on merit, law and as per the constitution,” Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said on appointing the Chief.
